A Jewel in the Crown:

The crisp, swirling lines of architecture of the Elevation of the Holy Cross Catholic church, stand in delicious contrast to the rolling hills, hay fields and grazing cattle that surround them. On the north side of highway 616, west of highway 21, you'll find the most delightful white blue and silver gem! Her colours whisper and scream that she belong to the sky; certainly not any ordinary structure.

The building's congregation has long since moved to the big city. In their impeccable state, the building and grounds, stand as a determined testament to other days. Days when wagons ambled over trails, on their way to church; when outhouses were perfectly acceptable, and Sunday potlucks were a staple!

The most delightful twisting gravel road begs to be explored while it leads you to the grave yard in the back. Stories, lives, souls rest here.
Come and see.
